SECOND LIFE, March 14, (Reuters) - Linden Lab blocked new registrations to Second Life on Wednesday in an attempt to cope with a surge in population growth that has caused repeated problems on the grid.

This startled me, but I have to say I'm pretty encouraged by how fast they got registration opened back up again. Pretty impressive response time to what must have been a difficult issue.
