A Conversation with Miss Odinal Malaprop

Lovely to see the amazing Miss Malaprop again, and to learn she's creating and building as ever many magical things in Second Life. She's making machinima, too.
Watch the video that features Eric Rice (known in-world as Spin Martin) HERE.
How did they do that Pogue morph at the end???
Here's Pogue's NY Times blog post on Second Life.
Wish CBS allowed its videos to travel down RSS pipes.
Sigh.

GET interviews James Wagner Au / Hamlet Au (nee Linden) in the flesh.
Great to see the man behind the white suit who was so generous in helping us raise funds for the Creative Commons earlier this year at our Second Life Burns Night Supper.
In-world, Hamlet Au is publisher of New World Notes. In first life, James continues to write his book.

While at Gnomedex, Scoble contracted his 12-year-old son to make some builds for him in the adult grid with a Linden Lab employee in Gnomedex attendance. They were "toast".
Here is Scoble's follow-up to the incident. You'll find a link to an interview with LL employee Beth Goza there, too.
Interesting issues here on lots of fronts.

The Steampunks group has united to raise money to create a Steampunk sim. Here's a wee tour with Ordinal Malaprop and her doppleganger butler.
Visit Jefferson Gould's 3-D map at Steampunk Headquarters in Caledon.

Check it out, new followcam scripting options illustrated in a motion picture.
But as Ordinal Malaprop points out, "...it appears that only attachments and vehicles can control the camera as yet, which is something of a blow." You said it, Ordinal. That said, I'm confident that camera controls scripting and future menu options will flourish soon.

A St. Patrick's Day reflection on the state of music in Second Life.
The short version is: music thrives.
